Job Posting: Physician Assistant at Achilles Foot and Ankle
Position: Physician Assistant
Location: West End Office (Tuesday and Thursday at 7301 Forest Avenue Richmond, VA 23226\) and Mechanicsville Office (Monday and Wednesday at 7493 Right Flank Road STE 420, Mechanicsville, VA).
8AM \- 5PM Monday through Thursday.
Achilles Foot and Ankle is seeking a highly motivated and collaborative Physician Assistant to join our team and provide exceptional patient care in partnership with podiatrist, Dr. James Baldwin. Our clinic is dedicated to delivering the most advanced and highest quality foot and ankle services in Central Virginia.
Responsibilities:
\- Collaborate with Dr. Baldwin in providing comprehensive patient care
\- Lower extremity wound care
\- Offer sports medicine treatments for various conditions including plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendonitis, posterior tibial tendonitis, anterior tibial tendonitis, and peroneal tendonitis
\- Perform in\-office procedures for ingrown toenails, plantar warts, and benign neoplasms
\- Provide dermatological treatments for fungal toenails, bacterial foot rashes, and fungal foot rashes
\- Contribute to the diabetic foot program, including comprehensive diabetic foot exams and diabetic foot care
\- Assist in diabetic limb salvage, including the management of charcot foot
\- Manage foot infections and offer infectious disease treatments
\- Conduct conservative and surgical consultations for bunions, hammertoes, flat foot reconstructions, and other foot and ankle deformities
\- Utilize advanced treatments for neuropathy, such as laser therapy
\- Perform advanced treatments for various wound and sports medicine injuries, including plasma\-rich protein injections and extracorporeal shockwave therapy
Qualifications:
\- Valid Physician Assistant license in the state of Virginia
\- Previous experience in podiatry or a related field is NOT required. Hands on training will be provided by our team
