Job description
Heartland Fleet Services is a leading provider of mobile preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs for light, medium and heavy\-duty vehicles in the Kansas City Metro area.
We are looking for a **Mobile Diesel Technician** to add to our growing team of highly skilled mobile diesel technicians in the St Louis, MO area.
Diesel Technicians are responsible for performing preventative maintenance, breakdown repairs, advanced computer diagnostics, DOT inspections and any other services necessary to get a customer’s vehicle back on the road. Services are performed mobile at the customer’s locations.
**Responsibilities:**
· Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, breakdown repairs and DOT inspections
· Open and Close repair orders on company issued computer or tablet
· Obtain parts from local vendors and manage inventory on service truck
· Diagnose/Repair/Replace components on customer vehicles and equipment
· Perform repairs and inspections on a variety of vehicles, trucks and equipment, such as brakes, engines, wiring etc.
· Accurately complete DOT forms and all other forms of documentation in a timely fashion
· Perform basic and routine preventative maintenance on vehicles, along with DOT inspections
· Maintain a high level of productivity and be able to work within or close to most Standard Repair Times.
· Report to scheduled shift timely
· Respond to client requests as needed
· Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures
· Interact with clients by email, phone and text message as needed and in compliance with company policy
· Maintain general upkeep/maintenance of shop, service vehicles, and other equipment
· Perform other duties as required
**Requirements:**
· 5 years of experience performing maintenance and repairs diesel vehicles/equipment
· Experience working on heavy duty off\-road/construction equipment preferred
· Valid driver’s license
· Good verbal and written communication skills
