Job description

The Child Care Adviser provides services for children and families served in child care partnerships, to address the Education and Child Development, Disabilities, Health, and Family and Community Engagement program services of the Head Start Program Performance Standards. **Responsibilities:** * Observes partnership classrooms consistently throughout the week. * Plans relevant health, safety, and development trainings for childcare teachers. * Ensures classroom lesson plans are individualized and align with child development goals. * Works with the Mental Health Consultant and Family Advocates to conduct classroom observations. * Attends childcare meetings. * Supports classroom teachers to complete child development assessments. * Possesses understanding and knowledge of children’s overall development and health and seeks consultation from other EHS program services when appropriate. * Ensures partnership teachers understand and implement health and safety practices in the classroom. * Assists partnership teachers in professional development plans. * Understands classroom arrangement and support any needed modifications. * Assists teachers in the implementation and maintenance of curriculum fidelity for group and individualization for children. * Monitors and supports partnership teachers in the completion of parent teacher conferences and educational home visits. * Provides individualized coaching for assigned child care partnership teachers. * Collects and files teacher paperwork. * Collaborates with partnership director to support partnership teachers. * Participates in auditing of child records. * Collaborates with related EHS program services to ensure appropriate service delivery for each child. * Participates in staff in\-service training, serves on committees, and attends workshops and conferences as requested or approved. * Attends team meetings as necessary and all mandatary DDI Vantage meetings. * Completes written documentation in a timely manner to
