Automotive Mechanic Heavy Duty

**Job Summary** We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Heavy Duty Automotive Mechanic to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy\-duty vehicles and equipment, including trucks, industrial machinery, and farm equipment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse heavy equipment, utilize advanced diagnostics, and apply your mechanical knowledge in a fast\-paced environment dedicated to excellence. **Responsibilities** * Perform comprehensive diagnostics on heavy\-duty vehicles and equipment using schematics, electrical testing tools, and diagnostic software. * Conduct repairs and maintenance on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspensions, brakes (including air brake systems), shocks \& struts, and HVAC systems. * Fabricate and modify parts or components as needed using welding, soldering, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques. * Service a variety of machinery including excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractor\-trailers, farm machinery, industrial equipment, and other heavy\-duty vehicles. * Execute alignment procedures and perform tire service to ensure safety and optimal operation. * Maintain detailed service records, complete inspection reports, and follow safety protocols during all repair activities. * Assist with assembly or disassembly of complex equipment components and perform heavy lifting safely to support repair tasks. **Skills** * Proven experience working in a dealership or heavy\-duty service environment with strong mechanical knowledge. * Proficiency in automotive diagnostics for diesel engines and complex vehicle systems. * Skilled in fabrication techniques including welding and soldering; capable of working with schematics for electrical troubleshooting. * Hands\-on experience operating heavy equipment such as
