Job description
**Job Summary**
We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Heavy Duty Automotive Mechanic to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy\-duty vehicles and equipment, including trucks, industrial machinery, and farm equipment. Your expertise will ensure optimal performance, safety, and reliability of our fleet and machinery. **Responsibilities**
* Perform comprehensive diagnostics on heavy\-duty vehicles and equipment using schematics, electrical testing tools, and diagnostic software.
* Conduct repairs and maintenance on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspensions, brakes (including air brake systems), shocks \& struts, and HVAC systems.
* Fabricate and modify parts or components as needed using welding, soldering, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques.
* Service a variety of machinery including excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractor\-trailers, farm machinery, industrial equipment, and other heavy\-duty vehicles.
* Execute alignment procedures and perform tire service to ensure safety and optimal operation.
* Maintain detailed service records, complete inspection reports, and follow safety protocols during all repair activities.
* Assist with assembly or disassembly of complex equipment components and perform heavy lifting safely to support repair tasks.
**Skills**
* Proven experience working in a dealership or heavy\-duty service environment with strong mechanical knowledge.
* Proficiency in automotive diagnostics for diesel engines and complex vehicle systems.
* Skilled in fabrication techniques including welding and soldering; capable of working with schematics for electrical troubleshooting.
