Job description
**ANTICIPATED START DATE** : 7/1/2026
**LOCATION:** Rogers Middle School
**DETAILS:** 9½\-month professional position (1\.0 FTE) for the 2026\-27 school year, with paid sick and personal leave. District\-provided benefits package that includes health, dental, life and vision insurance.
**COMPENSATION:** Salary for this position is in accordance with the **2026\-27 Teacher Salary Schedule** **.** Placement is determined by education and like experience in accordance with board policy.
**JOB SUMMARY:** The successful candidate will be part of high\-energy and enthusiastic teams of professionals, dedicated to meeting the academic, social and emotional needs of students. Successful candidates are reliable, show initiative, are self\-motivated, and self\-directed. Must be able to work with all students and staff to provide academic, social and behavior support for the school.
**QUALIFICATIONS:**
* Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in education
* Appropriate Missouri teaching certification for Mathematics (6\-8\) required
* Prior teaching experience in a school setting at the secondary level is preferred
* The ability to produce engaging lessons in person and in a virtual setting is required
* The ability to listen well and take initiative to solve problems is required
* Strong organizational skills and self\-motivation are required
* The ability to work with a multi\-ethnic, multicultural student population is required
* The ability to remain flexible and positive with the demands and assignments of the job without losing sight of the mission, task or assignment is required
* The ability to work independently, use good judgment and think quickly and rationally in stressful situations is required
* The ability to effectively present information, respond to questions, and interact positively with students, staff, administration, and the community is required
