The Pharmacy Authorization Specialist will ensure that all customer service needs are achieved in a professional manner in accordance with Federal, State, local standards, guidelines and regulations. **Responsibilities** * Accurately inputs new referrals into the computer system and updates information in the computer system. * Communicates to the Authorization department the necessary information to obtain benefit information, authorization, reauthorization, and reimbursement by emailing and scanning pertinent medical information. * Addresses insurance issues that require alternate funding.
