Expanded Functions Dental Assistant

**Overview** We are seeking an experienced and skilled Expanded Functions Dental Assistant to join our privately owned dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office while providing exceptional care to our patients. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team\-oriented environment. We are open to a full time or part time position. **Responsibilities** * Assist dentists during various procedures, ensuring a comfortable and efficient experience for patients. * Place resin fillings and temporary crowns. * Prepare and maintain the dental operatory by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are readily available. * Perform medical imaging and assist with diagnostic procedures as needed. * Utilize four\-handed dentistry techniques to enhance workflow and efficiency during treatments. * Maintain accurate patient records using dental software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft. * Educate patients on post\-operative care and general oral hygiene practices. * Adhere to aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety and compliance with health regulations. * Assist in administrative tasks, including scheduling appointments and managing patient flow. **Requirements** * Previous experience as an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant is required. * Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members. * Ability to work efficiently in a fast\-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. * Must possess a valid radiology licence or be willing to obtain one upon hiring.
