Job description

**Team Rubicon (TR)** is seeking an **Electrical Instructor** to join our **Programs** x **Workforce Development** team! The Electrical Instructor delivers hands\-on electrical training that prepares participants for careers in skilled trades. Through classroom instruction, shop\-based learning, coaching, and mentorship, the instructor helps participants develop the technical skills, professionalism, and safety mindset needed for workforce success. Working alongside Workforce Development staff and industry partners, the Electrical Instructor supports participant success from enrollment through employment and helps create a positive, accountable, and mission\-driven learning environment. This position reports to TR's **Program Manager, Workforce Development** and is onsite based out of the **Team Rubicon Workforce Development Academy** in New Orleans, Louisiana. **Duties:** * Deliver hands\-on electrical training using industry\-recognized curriculum, classroom instruction, and practical lab activities. * Coach and mentor participants to develop technical skills, professionalism, and career readiness. * Partner with the Career Navigator and Workforce Development team to support participants in success, retention, and job placement. * Maintain a safe, organized, and productive training environment, including tools, equipment, and program documentation. * Build relationships with employers, apprenticeship programs, and industry partners to support workforce opportunities. **Experience and Background:** * 5\+ years of professional experience in the electrical trade; with 1\+ year facilitating classroom instruction * Strong understanding of electrical systems, tools, materials, safety practices, and construction methods * Demonstrated ability to teach, coach, mentor, or develop others * Strong communication
