Warehouse Operator - Maintenance

**Job Summary** --------------- Provides day to day management over operational functions of the Facilities Parts Warehouse for the Travis County Sheriff’s Office. Responsibilities include overseeing inventory control and organization, supporting facility operations across the department. The role maintains accurate inventory records, establishes and monitors reorder points, determines stock levels, coordinates procurement, and ensures maintenance staff have timely access to parts, tools, and supplies needed for repairs and preventive maintenance. The position oversees receiving, tracking, storage, distribution, and replenishment of materials, as well as conducting inventory audits to ensure operational efficiency. It also performs administrative functions, including maintaining inventory databases, processing purchase requests, tracking expenditures, preparing documentation, and ensuring compliance with county purchasing policies and procedures. In addition, this role generates and analyzes reports from inventory systems, purchasing platforms, and CMMS software to monitor stock levels, usage trends, costs, work order activity, and overall operational performance. Serves as the primary purchasing liaison between vendors, contractors, warehouse operations, TCSO Finance, and departmental staff. **DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS:** This is a job classification in the Skilled Trades job family.
