Position Description: The School Nurse serves as a critical healthcare professional within the educational environment, ensuring the health, safety, and medical readiness of scholars throughout the school day. This role supports scholars with routine healthcare needs, chronic conditions, and emergency response while collaborating with school staff, families, and the FocusED Scholars team to maintain a safe and supportive learning environment. You are not just providing care—you are protecting access to education. Position Responsibilities: **Student Health \& Medical Care** * Provide direct nursing care to scholars, including first aid, illness assessment, and medication administration * Develop, implement, and monitor Individual Healthcare Plans (IHPs) and Emergency Action Plans (EAPs) * Support scholars with chronic conditions (e.g., asthma, diabetes, seizures, allergies) * Respond promptly and effectively to medical emergencies **Medication Administration \& Compliance** * Administer prescribed medications in accordance with physician orders and school policies * Maintain accurate medication logs and documentation * Ensure compliance with state, district, and healthcare regulations **Health Monitoring \& Documentation** * Maintain detailed and confidential student health records * Track and report health trends, incidents, and concerns * Complete required daily, weekly, and incident reports in a timely manner **Collaboration \& Communication** * Communicate effectively with school staff, administrators, families, and healthcare providers * Provide health education and guidance to staff and scholars as needed * Partner with FocusED Scholars leadership on service delivery and reporting **Health \& Safety Compliance** * Ensure adherence to all health, safety, and infection control protocols * Support implementation of school\-wide health initiatives and screenings * Maintain a safe and sanitary health room environment Knowledge, Skills and Abili
