Post Masters Certificate in Nursing Education \- Preferred
3 years As a direct patient care RN \- Required
3 years Clinical nursing experience in area of assignment (e.g., ED, Critical Care, Med\-Surg, OB,etc) \- Preferred
Other Experience instructing or training in a healthcare setting \- Preferred
Certification in ANCC approved nursing specialty or nursing professional development \- if not on hire achieves within twelve (12\) months of accepting the position. \- Required

The Clinical Nurse Educator provides clinical and nursing professional expertise as an educator, leader, consultant, facilitator, change agent and researcher to support the organization in the provision of quality patient care by helping to ensure the clinical competence of nursing staff and foster the delivery of evidence\-based nursing practice.
