Job description
**Job Description:**
**Position Purpose:**
The Food Service Sales Consultant works with restaurants, cafeterias, catering companies, and other foodservice providers to help them select and purchase products that meet their operational needs and business goals. Their role involves building relationships with clients, understanding their menus and service models, and recommending food products, equipment, or services that improve efficiency, quality, and profitability. They often negotiate pricing, manage orders, and stay informed about industry trends and regulations. They are both a sales representative and a trusted advisor.
**Position Responsibilities:*** Build and maintain strong relationships with food service clients such as restaurants, hotels, schools, and catering companies.
* Recommend food products, ingredients, and equipment based on the client’s menu, budget, and operational needs.
* Generate sales, process orders, and ensure timely delivery of products while meeting sales targets.
* Stay informed on food trends, competitor offerings, and customer preferences to provide strategic product suggestions.
* Work with suppliers and distributors to source products, negotiate pricing, and resolve supply chain issues.
* Educate clients on product usage, storage, and preparation techniques to maximize value and minimize waste.
* Track sales performance, prepare reports, and forecast future demand to support business planning.
* Performs other duties as assigned

**Qualifications:**
* High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience
* 1\-3 years related experience
* Experience in food service, sales, or customer\-facing roles within the hospitality or food distribution industry.
* Strong sales and negotiation skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
* Knowledge of food products, preparation methods, and kitchen operations.
