Located in a vibrant area with ample free parking, the museum features over 150 vehicles, educational programs, and engaging exhibits that celebrate automotive milestones from the early 20th century to modern advancements. **Job Summary** We are seeking a proactive and detail\-oriented Museum Maintenance Technician to ensure the safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of our facility. This role involves performing routine and preventive maintenance across various systems, managing repairs, and supporting the overall upkeep of the museum’s infrastructure. The ideal candidate will bring mechanical expertise, electrical knowledge, and experience to maintain a welcoming environment for visitors and staff alike. **Duties** * Drywall/plaster repair and painting * Furniture assembly and relocation * Changing lights and/or fixtures * Plumbing repairs, replacements, installation * Carpentry repairs and installations (doors, shelves, countertops) * Minor repair of electrical devices * Facilities safety inspections * Concrete and asphalt paving inspections and repairs * Grounds and security maintenance (fencing, gate arms and gates) * Occasionally moving vehicles * Maintain tools and equipment in clean, safe, working order * Respond to emergency situations to ensure employee and facility safety * Comply with OSHA, ADA and other local, state and federal regulations **Qualifications** * Proven experience in facilities maintenance with a strong background in mechanical systems, electrical work, welding, and plumbing * Ability to perform painting and general handyman tasks with attention to detail * Supervising experience in a maintenance or facilities environment is highly desirable * Strong leadership qualities with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining
