Job description
**Overview**
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong background in kitchen operations, with experience in fine dining, catering, or restaurant environments. **Duties**
* Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards
* Assist in menu planning and ingredient selection
* Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area
* Handle food safely and adhere to proper food handling procedures
* Operate kitchen equipment safely, including knives and other culinary tools
* Support meal preparation for various service types, including catering and dine\-in orders
* Ensure timely delivery of dishes during busy service hours
* Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed
* Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations
**Skills**
* Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or culinary roles within restaurants or catering services
* Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques
* Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
* Experience with menu planning and fine dining presentation is a plus
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast\-paced environment
* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
* Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
* Previous dietary department or dietary aide experience is advantageous but not required
