PHARMACIST IN CHARGE

Description: **I. BASIC FUNCTION:** The Pharmacist\-in\-Charge (PIC) is responsible for the day\-to\-day management, control, and compliance of pharmacy operations in accordance with Health Center policies, professional standards of practice, and all applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations, including Missouri Board of Pharmacy requirements. The PIC ensures safe, legal, and effective pharmacy practice while supporting high\-quality patient care and operational excellence. The PIC serves as the pharmacist designated to the Missouri Board of Pharmacy and is accountable for ensuring pharmacy operations are conducted in compliance with all regulatory and professional requirements. **II. INTRADEPARTMENTAL RELATIONSHIPS:** Department Officer: Chief Pharmacy Officer Reports to: Chief Pharmacy Officer Supervises: All pharmacy services staff including but not limited to Pharmacy Technicians, Pharmacy intern(s)/student(s) **III.
