Job Title: Associate, Software Engineer, Applications Location: 400 Howard St San Francisco, CA 94105 Job Duties: Analyze the end\-to\-end client and investment management lifecycle—including client contracting and onboarding, portfolio management, trading, compliance, trade settlement, operational workflows, and reporting platforms—to design scalable and effective technology solutions. Evaluate and incorporate domain\-specific processes such as SecLending workflows, derivatives processing, and collateral management operations to mitigate the counterparty exposure and to ensure system accuracy, resiliency, and alignment with business requirements. Support all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, application design, system development, testing, implementation, and production support. Develop comprehensive technical design documents detailing the proposed solution architecture, business logic, and upstream/downstream system dependencies. Leverage and continuously learn in house technologies and frameworks to build, scale, and optimize enterprise\-grade applications across the investment and post trade ecosystem. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field and three (3\) years of experience as a Software Developer or in a closely related role. Must have three (3\) years of experience with: Strong proficiency Object\-oriented programming in Java, multithreading, concurrency , Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Data JPA), spring security and OAuth2; Hands on experience in databases such as MySQL, Oracle, JDBC, and Hibernate for data persistence; Designing, developing and maintaining RESTful APIs and microservices within distributed backend architecture; Unit testing frameworks including JUnit and Mockito; Working
