Job description
##### **Engagement Type**
Contract
Liaison \& Communication
* Serve as liaison between technical and non\-technical departments.
* Communicate with other management, developers, product owners and technical support specialists on product issues.
* Coach the team on best practices (maintaining a healthy backlog, develop high quality user stories, estimating and delivery)
Development
* Organize and facilitate project planning, daily stand\-up meetings, reviews, retrospectives, sprint and release planning, demos and other Scrum\-related meetings.
* Track and communicate team velocity and sprint/release progress.
* Maintain process documentation.
* Ensure the team members are practicing the core agile principles of collaboration, prioritization, team accountability, and visibility.
Application Support
* Assist as needed with backlog maintenance and reviewing quality of user stories.
* Assist with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information.
* Assist with prioritization and resolution of defects / bugs.
Management
* Participate proactively in developing and maintaining team working agreement, standards, and tools.
* Develop and manage Team performance metrics, leverage to drive efficiencies in the process.
* Identify and remove impediments, prevents distractions.
* Facilitate discussion and conflict resolution.
* Empower the team to self\-organize.
Position Requirements
Formal Education \& Certification
* Four\-year college diploma or university degree in computer systems design or computer science, and/or 10 years equivalent work experience.
* Must be a Certified Scrum Master,
* Scaled Agile (SAFe) experience and certification is a plus
Knowledge \& Experience
* Scrum Master or Business Analyst experience is preferred.
* Understanding of agile software development methodologies, values, and procedures.
* Thorough understanding of the software development lifecycle.
