Job description
**Position Description:**
The IT Project Manager II will operate as a Servant Leader and Facilitator for 2\-3 Agile teams, ensuring the effective implementation of Scrum and Kanban principles.
The Scrum Master will operate as a Servant Leader and facilitator for 2\-3 Agile teams, ensuring the effective implementation of Scrum and Kanban principles. The successful candidate will be a strong negotiator, have excellent logic and problem\-solving skills and drive to make a difference. We need an individual that puts the team before themselves. They will be responsible for enforcing the rules of Scrum, removing impediments from their team, while promoting self\-management and consistently driving a culture of continuous improvement.
Liaison \& Communication
· Serve as liaison between technical and non\-technical departments.
· Communicate with other management, developers, product owners and technical support specialists on product issues.
· Coach the team on best practices (maintaining a healthy backlog, develop high quality user stories, estimating and delivery)
Development
· Organize and facilitate project planning, daily stand\-up meetings, reviews, retrospectives, sprint and release planning, demos and other Scrum\-related meetings.
· Track and communicate team velocity and sprint/release progress.
· Maintain process documentation.
· Ensure the team members are practicing the core agile principles of collaboration, prioritization, team accountability, and visibility.
Application Support
· Assist as needed with backlog maintenance and reviewing quality of user stories.
· Assist with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information.
· Assist with prioritization and resolution of defects / bugs.
Management
· Participate proactively in developing and maintaining team working agreement, standards, and tools.
· Develop and manage Team performance metrics, leverage to drive efficiencies in the process
