### **Assignment Overview** * Shift: Days, 5x8hrs * Hours: 40 hrs/wk * Start Date: Jul 22, 2026 * Length: 13 weeks * Openings: 1 ### **Description** American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist for an acute care hospital Burn Unit position requiring 1\+ year of experience, Epic proficiency, and availability to work every weekend. ### **Details** * Work in a specialized Burn Unit within an acute care hospital setting * Day shift, 5x8\-hour shifts, 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM * Weekend availability (Saturday and Sunday) is required, with 3 additional shifts selected from Monday through Friday * Patient population consists of burn patients with 0–100% TBSA burns * Caseload ranges from approximately 2 to 8 patients per day depending on season * Patients present with complex needs including pain management, surgical dressings, mobility limitations, contracture prevention, and scar management * Outpatient PT eval and therapy support may be performed as time allows * Floating within the inpatient setting is required * Epic EMR experience is required * Scrubs are provided by the facility ### **Requirements** * Current, active OT or PT license (LA license required if applicable) * Minimum 1 year of relevant clinical experience * Proficiency with Epic EMR required * Ability to float within the inpatient setting * A supervisor reference dated within the last 12 months is required for consideration * Copy of Driver's License required for consideration * Any employment gaps of more than 30 days must be documented and explained ### **Additional Information** * First\-time travelers are welcome to apply * Candidates must have been separated from any LCMC facility as a permanent employee for at least 1 year before being eligible for a travel assignment * Up to 5 days of RTO allowed for this location * Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates * Key responsibilities include promoting mobility, positioning to prevent contract
