### **Assignment Overview** * Shift: Days, 5x8hrs * Hours: 40 hrs/wk * Start Date: Jul 6, 2026 * Length: 13 weeks * Openings: 1 ### **Description** American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Interventional Radiology position focused on MRI and CT imaging, requiring at least 12 months of RN experience and a valid VA or compact RN license. ### **Details** * Outpatient Radiology unit with a focus on MRI and CT procedures * Responsibilities include IV placement, point\-of\-care testing (POCT), and pre\-procedure patient assessment * Patient safety monitoring includes checking medications, vital signs, lab results, and medical history prior to imaging studies * Day shift: 5x8\-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM * MRI Full Stop safety training is required for this role ### **Requirements** * Active VA or compact RN license required * Minimum 12 months of RN experience required * BLS certification required * Diagnostic imaging or radiology nursing experience preferred; progressive care background also considered * Must have graduated from an accredited nursing program (ACEN or CCNE accreditation accepted); diploma, Associate's, and BSN degrees all accepted * BSN preferred ### **Additional Information** * Responsible for identifying and responding to IV infiltrations, contrast reactions, patient falls, and other patient safety events * MRI safety is a key focus, with an emphasis on protecting both patients and team members entering the MRI magnet environment * Candidates must not have been employed by VCU Health within the previous 12 months * This is a drug\-free and tobacco\-free workplace; smoking is not permitted anywhere on campus * The facility enforces a natural nail policy * Any requested time off must be submitted at the time of application, as requests submitted after placement may be declined * Travelers are not guaranteed holidays off * Two professional references at the supervisor level or above will be required for consideration
