IT Enterprise Business Analyst 2

Location: Atlanta GA USA Start Date: 07/13/2026 Pay Rate: $46\.59/hr The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) is seeking an experienced IT Business Analyst (BA) to support IT project initiation efforts, technology procurements, and business systems analysis activities. The primary responsibility of this role will be analyzing IT project initiation requests and compiling documentation necessary to support new IT procurements, contracts, or in\-house system development initiatives. As workload permits, the Business Analyst may also be assigned to active IT project teams. The Business Analyst will work closely under the guidance of the IT BA Manager, and successfully collaborate with business stakeholders, relevant IT teams, to gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements. This role requires strong communication, facilitation, documentation, and analytical skills to ensure successful project initiation, procurement support, and solution delivery. The ideal candidate will have experience facilitating workshops, conducting interviews, documenting current and future state processes, defining functional and non\-functional requirements, and supporting software development lifecycle (SDLC) activities. Work Type: * HYBRID – in Office 1 day Onsite per week and remote rest of the days Interview: * In Person interview after the initial screening Key Responsibilities: Business Analysis \& Requirements Management * Participate in the demand management process to assist business units in developing business cases, defining project scope, and documenting requirements for new systems or enhancements to existing systems. * Gather, analyze, validate, and document business, functional, and non\-functional requirements. * Translate business needs into clear solution requirements and technical documentation. * Conduct stakeholder interviews, workshops, and Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions.
