Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Hydrovac Operator to join our team. (NOTE: We may consider training qualified Class A or B CDL drivers with at least 3\-5 yrs exp. and competent driving an 18 speed.)
As a Hydrovac Operator, you will be responsible for operating specialized equipment to safely locate underground utilities, pipelines, etc. This opening is for a hydrovac truck with manual transmission \- not an automatic.
This is a full\-time position with competitive pay and benefits and requires a strong understanding of hydrovac equipment operation and mechanical knowledge as well as the ability to work in various environments..
Responsibilities
\-Drive heavy truck with manual transmission (18 speed) to and from project location as well as operate hydrovac equipment to safely excavate and expose underground utilities
\- Perform hydro excavation tasks using high\-pressure water and vacuum systems
\- Safely operate and maintain the equipment
\- Dig trenches and holes as required for clients' projects
\- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment
\- Complete daily pre\-trip inspections of equipment and report any issues or malfunctions
\- Properly track fuel and mileage
\- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including daily reports, time sheets, and maintenance logs
Requirements
\- Valid Class B or Class A driver's license with Tank Endorsement; must have a clean driving record; must be able to pass a DOT drug test; and must be in the National Clearinghouse with no pending issues.
\- Previous experience operating hydrovac equipment is required; available to work extended hours is required; available to work out of town for short or extended periods of time is required
\- Ability to read and interpret maps, blueprints, and locate underground utilities. Must have mechanical knowledge in order to troubleshoot issues and perform routine maintenance on
